Let me begin by sharing a little about myself, my family and then about the Youth Ministry here at First Baptist.
I would say that I'm outgoing. I love the outdoors, sports, games and Jesus. I've backpacked in the Rockies and the Appalachia Mountains. I enjoy biking, camping and hunting. I play on the church softball team. I like basketball, racquetball and swimming. I love all kinds of games from video to cards or board games to mind games. I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart when I was a freshman in high school, while on a mission trip.
I've been married for 13 plus years to the most wonderful person. She is a great cook, awesome volunteer, trusted friend, fantastic mother and a perfect wife. Sue is her name, and she has been helping me in Youth Ministry since we started dating. Sue also enjoys many of the things I do, as well as scrap-booking, shopping and chatting. We have two wonderful children. Ceonni, who will join the Youth Ministry soon, and Isaiah, who is in 1st grade. Ceonni enjoys her friends, music and singing. Isaiah enjoys sports, music and singing. Ceonni, Isaiah and I enjoy taking Tae Kwon Do together.
I have been here at the church for two and a half years. We have a very active group of students and supportive parents. We also have a great core of adult leaders. The Youth Ministry at the First Baptist Church believes in a Family Ministry approach. We are concerned with the whole family. We believe we need to minister to the whole family to be effective in ministering to the youth. We believe that we need the whole family of God to minister to our youth. I believe our young people are cared for by the whole church.
