Winter 2011 Adult Sunday School Classes

Winter 2011 adult classes begin on December 4. There are 5 classes to choose from:

     
  1. Handbells, Making Music, Taught by David Brown...Would you like to learn a new skill?  Do you have rhythm?  Do you like to laugh?  Are you interested in uncovering a potential new skill that you could offer to the Lord in worship?  Then you are welcome! Class will be taught in the Choir room.
  2. Prayer Practicum, Taught by Susan  Brown...This class will not only talk about prayer, but will spend time in prayer; for our church, for our pulpit committee, and for our next pastor.  Class will meet in the Media Center.
  3. Chinese Sunday School Class,...This class will be facilitated by Dan Martin, Richard Li, and Jake Wang. The subject    matter is being determined. It will be open to anyone, whether Chinese or other! Class will be taught in the Harmony Room.
  4. Knit, Pray, Love, Taught by Barb Neil...Have you ever thought of knitting as a spiritual art? Have you always wanted to learn how to knit, or do you want to improve your knitting skills? This class will provide opportunity for all of these. We will also be exploring the idea of starting a Prayer Shawl    ministry here at First Baptist. Teacher/facilitator: Class will be meet in Rm. #20, North Wing.
  5. Simply Jesus, Taught by Joe Mortensen...Using N.T. Wright's just published book Simply Jesus, we'll be challenged to take a fresh look at who Jesus was, what he did, and why he matters. There's a good chance that we'll be stretched, but that's how we grow.
